The American College of Gastroenterology website has brochures and teaching materials on GI health, diseases, and procedures. Included are colon cancer, Hep C, obesity & GI health, and colonoscopy procedures. There are also searchable links for GI health and an A-Z searchable list (e.g. IBS, GERD, Diverticulosis).
The ACG has an IBS screening tool that takes about one minute to complete. Answers may determine if a patient has IBS. This screening could be used in IBS scenarios.
The ACG has an IBS Treatment Checklist to learn about different treatment options and a personalized treatment guide. Students working through an IBS scenario can use the checklist as a patient teaching tool.
The ACG does a wonderful job of providing information on a variety of topics. Included in the topic is an Overview, Risk Factors, Screening/Diagnosis, Treatment Options, and Management. Click on the condition below to link to that resource.
